you said it would be more fair to compare shows in its time slot.
I did just that.

should I have done something else?

Unsure if I buy what Fox News is saying about a CNN show though it would probably be smart to have Brianna on the evening and put someone else in the mornings.

True, the article doesn’t say where they got those numbers from so I guess it’s possible Fox made them up.
I’m sure CNN hopes they did.

New Day is beating Morning Joe.

Would not be surprised if this woman is part of next CNN morning shakeup:

I think Brianna is more suited for the Situation Room or a prime time show, not mornings (though she's anchored American Morning a time or two back in the day) and that's OK. Nothing against her but she's too serious for the morning news. I think morning shows need someone who's perky (granted yes it's Cable News not the Today Show).

Great point, clearly this isn’t working

I’ve been watching Brianna this week
The problem with CNN always has been the format
Alisyn Camerota and Kiran Chetry were proven morning anchors
Brianna probably is better suited for a later time slot but she isn’t doing anything wrong

Probably for the best, just have her on the 9 PM slot unless CNN wants to give that Chris Wallace.

I know this is CNN so who knows what the logic is, but if someone just failed miserably on a morning show, why would you give them a prime time show where the competition is arguably even tougher?

The problem isn’t Brianna.

Sounds like CNN is about to clean house. I hope CNN hires someone perkier, again nothing against Brianna but she's not a morning show personality.

Right now the No.1 show on cable news is hosted by a guy who failed miserably at CNN and MSNBC, and who was a freelancer hosting the weekend morning show until Fox threw him in prime time as a quick replacement for an embattled Bill O’Reilly

much different circumstances, that was on a network that was already #1, it could be argued that whoever you put there would succeed with that built-in audience.
at CNN, you'd have to CREATE an audience that isn't there.
much more difficult.
(and Keilar has already proven she couldn't do it in the morning)
