There are many women in sports media that became stars on and off camera behind the scenes from Erin Andrews to Jill Arrington to Summer Sanders to Maria Taylor to Hannah Storm to the late great Phyllis George just to name a few. Here are my favorite group women in sports media of any generation:
2001-05:
Leeann Tweeden
Jill Arrington (CBS Sports)
Jillian Barberie (who also do weather for FOX NFL Sunday)
Lisa Guerrero (who went on to become investigative reporter for Inside Edition)
Summer Sanders (1992 Olympic Gold Medalist who then went on to host Figure It Out, NBA Inside Stuff, and The Sports List)
Lisa Dergan (Playboy Playmate of the Year 1998)
Bonnie-Jill Laflin (First woman to become a scout for Lakers organization)
Rebecca Grant

2007-15:
Erin Andrews (Known for her infamous peeping scandal and hosting DWTS)
Charissa Thompson (Who went on to ESPN for SportsNation then return to Fox Sports 1)
Sara Walsh
Jade McCarthy
Cari Champion
Rachel Nichols
Cassidy Hubbarth

2016-present:
Dianna Russini
Jane Slater
Lisa Kerney (Went on to host a FanDuel show More Ways to Win)
Nicole Briscoe
Heidi Watney
Lauren Shehadi
Jaymee Sire (She later went on to Food Network and more shortly after ESPN layoffs)
Danielle Trotta
Kristine Leahy (who use to be on The Herd w/ Colin Cowherd and hosted Fair Game for couple of years)
Mina Kimes (one of sports media's rising stars)
Molly McGrath (who use to be a Boston College cheerleader then went on to NBC Sports Boston and later Fox Sports before she join ESPN as sideline reporter)
Olivia Dekker (daughter of Kevin Harlan)
Laura Rutledge
Maria Taylor
Taylor Bisciotti
Kay Adams
Kelly Nash (best known for her dangerous selfie in 2013)
Alexa Datt (who also do podcast)
Jackie Redmond

You could make an argument or not that any group of women in sports media might consider the greatest of all time. They're great professionals, they're great hard workers, and they're the most influential women in any business.

Jessica Mendoza, 4 Time first team all American at Stanford, 2 time Olympic Chmpion, All Star outfielder in women's pro softball. First women to broadcast an MLB game for ESPN, and co host of Sunday night baseball.
Pretty impressive resume.

I like also list:

Jen Hale (sideline reporter for Fox Sports NFL coverage and New Orleans Pelicans and fill-in host of Undisputed)
Allison Williams (College Football reporter for ESPN)
Lindsay Rhoads and Colleen Wolfe (both NFL Total Access host)
Lauren Gardner
Jenny Taft
Jenny Dell
Malika Andrews
Wendi Nix
Samantha Steele (or just Sam Steele)
On the legendary side Andrea Kramer

Also, a shout out Kelsey Wingert formerly of Fox Sports Southeast. I swear fans were more pissed she left than Josh Donaldson.
Also, there a number of women working at regional/local stations covering sports.

Thea Andrews is more of an entertainment reporter although she was on ESPN for a few years with Cold Pizza (honestly they should have kept her there not replace her [and Kit Hoover] with Dana Jacobson) and ESPN Hollywood. Also, she did an event prior to a horse racing event and acted on the show Playmakers. Agree with Carolyn Manno, I'm sure we're not naming all of them.

That might be true, but CNN used to bill her as being from Bleacher Report and now they say she’s with CNN
