Doesn’t add up, why couldn’t he work somewhere else right away if they fired him?
Sounds to me like he wanted out and FNC enforced a non-compete (probably 6-12 months) while letting him leave.

Murdoch knew how much credibility Shep and Chris Wallace gave them

I did hear another rumor Shep did ask out of his contract. That can be true. I heard that the AG visited Murdoch then hours later Shep is gone.

Must've had quite the pull and following there to get that new studio.

So...for the sake of what this site is about...who's your choice to replace him at 3:00?

Would like to see Laura Ingle or Molly Line move out of the bullpen and take a shot at their own show.

Julie has way more experience than both of them, but I think she's okay coming out of the bullpen.

he been at issue with way fox want to run news station. also had beef with other co-host and one rip for doing news way it should be done. fair and balance and with fact checking. want to honest news caster at station. but they want him to be pro trump. so he ask to be let go. but would not let him and when it hot breaking point told them i am done. also rumors or he said it him self other people where not happy with way that news station want to report on news too. a lot of people working in background remarks like he did. and told to follow line they want news to be told. so other want station be pro trump and white house talking bits. he said to have booking coming out too. and looks will be spilling beans about fox news. and what it writes in book to be true. then we know fox news credibility will looked at.

Yeah, I think it's going to be a guy as well even if Lea Gabrielle was still there.

Whether they are fired or not. Most of those in the TV industry have a non-compete clause for x amount of time written in their contracts. And in most cases even if their contract expires and the employee leaves on their own they still have to sit out whatever the terms of the non-compete is. In Shep's case he had just renewed his contract last year and then a year later asked to be released from it, so of course FNC is going to enforce to the non-compete clause.
