When Nancy O'Dell left ET last week, there were bigger shoes to fill.
No word on replacement yet, but here are the possible candidates to replace Nancy O'Dell as new co-host when ET begins a new season Sept. 9th:
Brooke Anderson
Jill Arrington
Catt Sadler
Ashlan Gorse Cousteau
Julie Alexandria
Maria Menounos
Nischelle Turner
Keltie Knight
Taylor Bisciotti
Dana Jacobson

Jenn Lahmers is joining Extra next month.
Jaymee Sire? Possibly a darkhorse.
Courtney Friel or Jessica Holmes? Slim to none.

I do think Brooke, Maria, Nischelle, Keltie, Jill are likely favorites to replace Nancy. They deserve a shot.

A few things

Ashlan: The oceans have her, really?

Catt: Guessing you believe me that she is blackballed

Taylor: She's on the NFL Network doing the updates and hosted a show at one point.

Julie hosted a show for Fox Sports 1 back in 2014 called "MLB 162".

She also hosted The Seven on MTV back in 2010.

Ashlan - Yes that was not a joke. She is married to a Cousteau & that family is the family of ocean exploration. Hubby has her doing it now. Those explorations can go for weeks at a time. She would have to give it up for the most part to do ET Full Time.

Catt - I dont know but I cant argue against that point.

Taylor - Just looked her up. Very Pretty. Maybe too young though. I can see her being groomed if she came over with a weekend anchor gig. I dont think they will hand her the main prize though.

2 weeks from today, a new season of Entertainment Tonight premeires, and for the first time in nearly a decade, they won't have Nancy O'Dell who left the show earlier this month. Yet a new co-host to be named, ET will have an on-air makeover along with revamp of ET Live. Now we know Access Hollywood will have Mario Lopez, Extra will have Billy Bush as host, Jenn Lahmers and Nate Burleson as New York correspondents, when will ET going to have new hosts/correspondents and a new set? They've been using a green screen since July. I'm sure there's big changes at the main set of ET. As for possible co-host, Brooke Anderson, Jill Arrington, Nischelle Turner, and Keltie Knight are likely candidates to replace Nancy O'Dell. Will see how it goes over the next few days or so.

Good luck to Billy and whoever takes Nancy's place.

A new co-host should be announced between now and Sept. 9 along with a possible new set by the time the new season of ET starts 13 days from now.

We now know that E! News welcome new hosts Lilliana Vazquez and Scott Tweedie last month, Extra welcomes Billy Bush, and Access Hollywood welcomes Mario Lopez past September, it seems that Entertainment Tonight has using rotating hosts and guest hosts throughout the season and so far not a single replacement for Nancy O'Dell just yet. I do think Keltie Knight should be available to become permanent co-host to the show and I also think that veteran journalists like Catt Sadler, Jill Arrington, Julie Alexandria, Kristine Leahy, Thea Andrews (who worked with Kevin Frazier on The Insider), Brooke Anderson, Nischelle Turner, Erin Andrews, and Crystal Egger could be in the mix as possible replacements for Nancy O'Dell in the near future. Either way, ET is doing a great job so far this season and I think they'll stick around for a long time.

The days of two-host entertainment news shows are over (we already have Variety, The Wrap, The Hollywood Reporter, and Deadline for no-BS entertainment news), so forget it.

And besides...some of those names mentioned -- Catt Sadler, Maria Menounos, Ashlan Cousteau, Thea Andrews, Kristine Leahy -- don't want to do daily TV anymore and have already moved on to other ventures.

Some I can understand especially with Maria (she has AfterBuzz), Ashlan (whose doing sea stuff now), and Catt (podcast and possibly blackballed) though Kristine that's a surprise. I wonder what she'll do now.

With cord cutting continuing, most people do not have the time to sit through a 30 or 60 minute program unlike us and prior generations.

Podcasts are the "it" thing, no question about it. Even Oprah Winfrey is bringing back all of her over 4,500 talk show episodes (which ran from 1986 to 2011) and recycling them into a weekly podcast.

Hopefully not going the Holly Sonders route and whoring herself on social media while dating a sleazy sports bettor!

Not a good look, more ways than one. She downgraded by going from a Ryan Gosling lookalike to a Fat, Bloated The Situation. Too Far?

Holly used to be on the Golf Channel back then. Now she's on a modeling side of things. But I still bet Kristine, Julie, or in-house correspondents like Brooke Anderson and Keltie Knight could be in the mix. Sometimes sports reporters always turn to entertainment news reporters.

Two major examples: Pat O'Brien (he moonlighted at ET while at CBS Sports before leaving that for Access Hollywood) and Julie Moran (the first female host of ABC's Wide World Of Sports did some other stuff before and after ET).
