Are they freeing up room for pay cuts and restructuring contracts?

The Hollywood Reporter, along with an article from the New York Daily News also mentioned that there might be a new deal in the works for John Buccigross. The 20 year veteran anchor has his contract up on July 1.

The other sad announcements continue to happen throughout the day. Not looking forward to the other posts, as mentioned earlier--too bad for longtime Dallas Cowboys beat writer Ed Werder and top college basketball writer Dana O'Neil.

They are getting offers:

As expected, all writers and reporters
But jocks turned analysts keep their jobs.

So far so good for our favorite ladies again so far, not out of the woods. Though the trifecta without Jane won't be the same.

This will come off as more sexist than I mean it, but could it be that those ladies aren't making as much, and are therefore easier to keep?

Update: Hannah Storm (who probably was making a lot) news here:

Sad to hear about Jaymee. At least Nicole Briscoe is safe from layoffs.

Damn, that sucks about Jaymee. She was the one I always tried to catch when she was on SportsCenter.

Just heard Jade MCcarthy is gone too.

Two of my faves leaving. Wow. Jade just signed a multi-year extension back in October. I assume she buyout the contract. Wishing them the best though. Should I start a petition soon?

Here is a great article from WFSB Television explaining the Bristol reaction on this very sad day:

First Nauert leaves Fox. Now Jayme out at ESPN. And with NatMo always wearing those frickin' long skirts my capping list is dwindling :( Sara Walsh should be back soon I'm thinking - not necessarily a beauty queen but has a great bod & funny personality. And maybe Megyn will show that compact body. And hey...Petallides is usually a sure bet.
