Elle Duncan seems to me someone who likely gets the axe. she is one of may favorites but I think her run is over in Bristol.

Possible but I think Sage Steele, Jemele Hill, and Nicole Briscoe are more likely to go. Maybe Linda Cohn and her 25 year tenure at ESPN. If they keep SC6 then Elle should be Michael Smith new partner. Unless Elle has a better offer on the NBA network based in Atlanta where she's from I doubt she'll leave. Don't know how many people will be spared. Also I wonder if adding studios in LA is part of the reason for this. LA has to be costing them millions which probably could have some of the people who were laid off.

Cari Champion seems like a lady they'd want to keep. Her show sucks now and she just sits behind a table when I tune in. A few months ago she was wearing the shortest dresses and oiling up her legs on the couch.

It was announced recently that Cari Champion will be replacing Michelle Beadle on NBA Countdown come spring.

Actually, she'll replace Beadle on SportsNation this coming spring.

Good question. My pick would have to be Molly McGrath.

Actually Coast to Coast is done by March if not sooner.

What about daytime, weekend, and 11pm editions of SportsCenter? Should they change the anchor lineup after the layoffs?

Is there a date when they are going to lay off people? Personally I think they should do it the next week or so, don't do it close to the holidays plus get it over with.

According to what I have read online from sites like Awful Announcing and Sports Illustrated, it could be happening this coming week. No confirmed timetable has been given.

There’s no good time to do it—-before Christmas, after Christmas, what’s the difference?

Dianna Russini - Safe
Linda Cohn - Safe
Rachel Nichols - Safe
Wendi Nix - Safe

I think Sage and Lisa or Nicole are gone (leaning towards Nicole because of tenure) Molly Q I think is safe unless ESPN wants to get another person to host First Take. Unsure after that.

As for SportsCenter AM which Sage hosted along with Jay Harris and Randy Scott, it'll likely moved to ESPN2 in 2018 with possibly Lisa Kerney or Molly McGrath replacing Sage.

I think Sage is gone, Linda, Lisa and/or Nicole are possibly safe, Molly Q possibly safe, Cari Champion is safe and replacing Michelle Beadle on SportsNation, Jemele likely gone, Dianna likely safe in case SportsCenter needs her back for 2018.

Sounds like now most of the December layoffs will be behind the scenes folks and not the on camera talent.

DO you know for sure? Then again, some on-air talent did lose their jobs inbetween layoffs with Lindsay and Coach.

Was that good news for Lisa Kerney, Nicole Briscoe, Linda Cohn, Dianna Russini, Rachel Nichols, Elle Duncan, and Wendi Nix just to name a few?
