Yep, that looks unusually fuzzy. Honestly, I have no idea what could be the issue as I don't have Verizon FIOS. It's been a while since I've dealt with a 1212, and from what I remember it only has component and composite inputs. I'm currently using the Colossus 2 (literally an internal version of th...

I've used it and loved it. It's a digital tuner, so whatever signal your TV provider sends is exactly what you get. In this case, Comcast uses H.264 compression on all their channels in 720p at 6Mbps (at least that's what it was when I had Comcast last year), therefore that's what it'll record. Inst...

Yep, "A Wonderful Christmas Time" is my least favorite. Absolutely hate it. We've been playing Christmas songs at work and that one plays at least 3 or 4 times a day. Drives me insane. No offense to our resident Beatles fan, HSF, but that one is among the worst songs I've ever heard. :Bang...

Thankful for a new job, great co-workers and an awesome boss who was willing to take a chance on a sad piece of s--t with depression (yeah, that's me).

Oh, wait. Too heavy? Well, I'm also thankful for the free turkey they gave me. :P

I think 2018 is going to be a good year. ;)

I'll admit it, I do go back once and a while and view the old caps I've posted, and also ones posted by others that I've downloaded. Maybe a couple times a year. I've kept every cap I've ever posted, though I'm not sure how many of them are still actually viewable online since so many of the sites w...

If compressing videos is all you're looking to do, then HandBrake is easily the best tool for that. It's free. https://handbrake.fr/ But here's a warning, it's quite complicated at first glance. If you decide to use it, post again and we'll try to help you if you're not sure what to do. As for onlin...

I've had a similar issue with a Western Digital external drive too. Was working fine one day then the next it didn't. Windows wouldn't even recognize that it was plugged in. Tested it on 2 different computers; same issue on both. This isn't really advice, so I don't recommend doing this if you don't...

Yeah, some of Windows 10's updates have caused issues for me as well, particularly when I updated from version 1607 to 1703. Windows failed to boot and would restart itself over and over again, however it would boot if I forced it into safe mode which was lucky because I was able to save my data. Ba...

Yep, it seems the login issue has been fixed. IceMan must have found a solution; haven't had an issue at all in months. :Thumb :Thumb

Server errors on the other hand I don't think have anything to do with the login problem though. I think they literally are just occasional server errors.

I wouldn't recommend NoScript as it takes quite a bit of work to get the settings right if you're not an experienced user. AdBlock or uBlock Origin are just set-and-forget and are more than enough to stop ad scripts from running for most situations.

I haven't used anti-virus in years. For me, Defender is more than enough. But then again, I don't have a habit of visiting sites I'm not familiar with. Defender is far from the best anti-virus in terms of actually detecting and removing viruses, but it is light weight and unobtrusive compared too hi...
